Haliburton Morning – 24 x 30 – acrylic on wood
Working away on the dark foreground; the morning sun hasn’t touched this tiny quiet island yet. Traces of the sun are starting to show in the sky and I have completed some of the lake between the island and the distant shore.

Ooo! Your wording is so good you could be an author! By the way, I LOVE the painting – beautiful. Beautiful.

Thanks Annie! I have a lot of trouble putting into words the things I’m doing with my paintings. I see other bloggers with long, effortless posts and I sigh.
I’m really excited about this one, it’s got a lot of strong darks and contrasts and the colour is more subtle and sprinkled lightly. (At least that’s how I think it’s going to go – lol.)

I’m doing a painting in your style – you can see the result when I’m done I hope!
