Solitaire – 20 x 20 – Acrylic on Panel – Reserved for Mayberry
Done!
The white flower basks on the dark leaves; the sunlight traces paths along the petals. Colour spills from the centre, reaching out to influence the rest of the flower. Way too much fun – I will have to do some more florals soon. (Maybe right after I do a painting for a local show entry and a commission.)

As always, AMAZING. Love the central/stigma detail.

I worked out your logic: Don’t copy exactly, that’s for photographers and illustrators. Have fun, do what you want! Am I right? I use that simple logic too.
Keep it up!

You have it exactly right! I can’t even copy my sketch.
Once I get it on the panel, I just let it go where it wants. And that’s my favourite part.

I showed a couple friends your work and they now go on your blog too. They were artists too, abstract ones.
