Incandescence – 18 x 24 inches – acrylic on wood panel – reserved for Mayberry
Here’s the final painting. Very angular and abrupt – the only curves are in the trunks of the glowing trees. It is very reminiscent of the forest on that afternoon, the colours were striking and the area felt closed and intimidating.

Oh I don’t know about efficient Ruhi
Sometimes I wish I could paint much faster than I do (especially when I’m painting for a show – lol)! But only somtimes.

Thanks Joan! Ooh you’re a digital artist – that’s so cool! I’ve played around with Painter a bit (a long time ago, before Corel bought it), but I never got very good at it – I found it very complex.

That’s turned out really well Mandy, great picture
Stick with the paint and ignore the digital art…as someone who pays the mortgage as a digital artist I can tell you it’s nowhere near as much fun
Paint every time
