Kaleidoscope – Done!

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art Well I’m done. My biggest painting ever! (So far ) I love the colours on this one and the way they move up the painting. And the overall movement in the painting is fun too. Nothing is ever really still [...]

Kaleidoscope WIP12

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art Ooh I’m at the top! The warm sun has really made a difference here. Lots more oranges and yellows – there’s more energy up here too. Things are much quieter on the forest floor…

Kaleidoscope WIP11

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art The sun and sky are interacting with the branches and leaves now. There’s a lot more movement and energy up here too.

Kaleidoscope WIP10

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art More sunlight, more bright colour.

Kaleidoscope WIP9

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art Getting further up now, where the sun has a better chance of shining through the branches of this behemoth. Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art I’m moving off the forest floor now and into the background trees and shrubs. There are spots where the sun breaks through but it is still pretty dark…

Kaleidoscope WIP6

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60  – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art And a little more… I’m starting to show some of the background trees and shrubs now. There are some lighter spots where the sun manages to punch through, but overall it is still really dark and shaded.

Kaleidoscope WIP5

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60  – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art A little more work done. I’m having a hard time showing the purples and reds of the trunk. I think this one might be a bear to make into a reproduction print. But it’s fun anyways.

Kaleidoscope WIP4

Kaleidoscope – 30 x 60  – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art Some more work on the dark forest floor. Lots of deep blue and green shadows. Only tiny expeditions of sunlight make it as far as the ground and they are quickly swallowed up by the urgent growth.
