I have the rest of the trees in now, bracketing the icy pond. The trees on this side catch the last of the afternoon sun and provide a deceptive illusion of warmth.

Whoa! What a surprising burst of colour! Still looks cold though!
I wanted some warmer colours to show more of the sun hitting those trees, but I’m glad the painting still reads cold!
