Summer’s End Complete

Summer’s End – 36 x 48 – Acrylic on Wood

Yay it’s done! It took a long, long time but it was a good process. I took each section as it came and tried to hold both it’s part in the whole painting and it’s own unique requirements in my head and hand at the same time. (Something that’s much easier to do with a smaller painting.) I’m looking forward to the next really really big painting!

Now on to something more wintry and blue. :)

I’m coming close to the end now! The sky, the lake and the trees are all complete and finally together somewhere other than my head – lol. I’ve a bit more of the foreground foliage to resolve but I’m pretty confident that this painting is going to end well. :)

More sky! It’s taking longer than I thought, but that’s okay. I’m not complaining. Really. I do love watching how this is turning out. :)

And I’m having a heck of a time taking these wip photos – it’s so big (did I already mention that? – lol) that there’s no getting away from the glare. Once it’s done and hubby does his magic with his slr camera I will have a lovely photo. :)
