Haliburton Morning WIP9

Haliburton Morning – 24 x 30 – acrylic on wood

There’s that little spit of weeds – I’ve been waiting to see that. :) And most of the lake is done; next I will move into the reflections of the trees in the water. So that’s it for the more saturated colours. The muted tones in this painting do make the few spots of bright colour stand out. The strong darks are turning out to be a nice counterpoint to the early morning lights.

Haliburton Morning WIP7

Haliburton Morning – 24 x 30 – acrylic on wood

The sky is pretty much done. :) Just a  little left where it meets the tree line. I can’t wait to do the trees as it will be the last bit of strong(er) colour in this painting. (The rest of the painting is water, weeds and reflections. And this is such a good photo of the painting. The colours are good and you can see what’s going on in the foreground.  Hubby takes way better pictures than I do and you can really see the difference. :)
