Haliburton Morning WIP4

Haliburton Morning – 24 x 30 – acrylic on wood

What happens next is the trees are starting to go up to meet the sky. The sky weaves in and out, defining some shapes and embracing others. It’s my favourite part about the sky – a flowing movement in and around the foreground of the painting, flattening some elements while leaving others free to create the illusion of distance. :)

Contemporary abstract landscape painting Canadian morning mist.

The sky looks so floaty, I think I could just float up in it with all the clouds…great dimension and color! Pretty picture too!

Thanks Annie! It’s really starting to take shape now – I think the sky is floaty too. :)
