Haliburton Morning – 24 x 30 – acrylic on wood
I’m finally ready to post the start of my next painting. 
Haliburton Morning came from an excursion to that area of Ontario on a dreamy fall morning. We watched the sun rise over the hills already starting to lose their bright fall colours. The mist hung over the warm water, obscuring the far shore and painting everything pearl.
Pretty! I saw your art gallery – there is no solitaire, and how come you didn’t blog on dusk? Not to be mean – I just love your work so I want to see more!
Thanks Ruhi! I haven’t put up Solitaire yet because I like to space out my site updates to keep the goolgebots happy. (And I just finally put up Dusk.) So I will put Solitaire up early next week.
I don’t usually blog the 5 x 7 paintings because they are finished in a one-weekend session – so no work-in-progress shots. And I like to put them in my newsletter – that way newsletter subscribers get to see them first. (I want to give them some perk for signing up for the newsletter – lol.) I didn’t do that for this one since it was painted for a group show.

My shapes often start wrong – but you have to start somewhere! Just keep refining/changing until they work. (I know – easy for me to say!)
Oh and do I get to see it when it’s done?
