Sunrise WIP3

Sunrise – 16 x 16 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art

I’ve decided to call this one just Sunrise – I think that’s the most important part and the reason why I’m painting it. It could as easily be a summer sunrise (and maybe I will do one – it would be cool to see the differences). It’s all about the sunlight breaking up on the trunks and branches and deepening the shadows on the snow.

When will a print of this one be available? I want one!

So this would probably be a bad time to tell you I’m 4 paintings (or maybe 5) behind in making the print files? :) Plus I have to finish the painting first! But I could bump it up and maybe in 2 or 3 weeks?

    Mandy,
I just wanted to say how much I love your work. You are such an inspiration which makes me want to paint although I know I am not in the same league as you! However you do stir my arty side and I can’t wait to see your latest finished painting.
I wondered if you have gave thought to a beautiful desktop calendar with your favourite paintings in print?
    Best wishes…
    Sue

Hi Sue. Thanks so much! I’m thrilled to be inspiring! :) I have actually thought about calendars but I just don’t have the time. I almost did one last year but I did a little paperback book instead. I hope to manage my time better in the next 6 – 12 months and then I could do one in time for next year.

Thanks Sue! I did wonder at first if anyone would be interested in my works-in-progress, but it helps me to keep the blog regularly updated even though I paint slowly. And then comments like yours let me know that it’s worth doing! :)
