Four Sunflowers – 18 x 24 – Acrylic on Wood – Reserved for Mayberry Fine Art
That’s it! I’m done!
Although it took a little longer than I had planned, I did find the abstract shapes pretty easily and the colours were delightful to work with – I’ll have to do some more with this palette.
My next painting will a cool secluded forest and I get to start it tomorrow – yay Canada Day!
And then after that it’s on to a commission.

Beautiful!
Any chance you might make prints of this? I need to keep dancing!
Mandy — it’s beyond-words beautiful!
Happy sigh …
Wow! That one’s a stunner. Glorious colours. I love sunflowers. Another one I want to add to my collection!
Thank you Alli!
Thanks Kathleen! I do want to make prints – it will probably take me a week or 2 – - it’s not my favourite part
Thanks Steph! I love sunflowers too – I’m starting to see why van Gogh painted them so often!
Hey Looks Great! Look forward to seeing it in person

Thanks Shaun! I still need to varnish it, but I will be sending it along shortly.
Excellently done. I think you’ve inspired me to try acrylics!
Thanks Matt! Ooh scary! I used to paint in oils, but the ability to create hard-edged shapes and change my mind every 5 minutes or so led me to acrylics. And I’ve never tried pastel – I imagine they require quite a different approach.
You finished it while I was away on vacation! When I was in Germany I saw a small sunflower field and instantly thought about your painting and wondered if it was finished. Wow ! I love it and think it’s actually better than the real thing. That’s high praise coming form someone who loves flowers.
Thanks Margaret! That is high praise! I was hoping I had kept the sunflower-ness while still playing with patterns and colours.
