Scarlet Interior – Finished

It’s done! And to me it has captured that quality of poppies bending and whispering gentle secrets that follow the meandering paths of their petals… Scarlet Interior – 11 x 14 – Acrylic on Wood

Scarlet Interior – WIP2

This one is great fun to paint. The red petals seem to writhe and undulate, a bit like an aquatic plant gently buffeted by the current. The size of this one is 11 x 14 inches.

Scarlet Interior – WIP1

Every spring one corner of my backyard becomes the temporary home of beautiful, huge, papery poppies. I love the maze of reds, and the delicate tissue paper blooms.

Mississauga Creek

This little painting depicts a beautiful September afternoon. The wetland foliage has started to change colour as the nights turn cooler, but the day is warm and the air still smells like summer. It is listed on ebay until Sunday.
