Abstract Landscape Spring Light – Finished!

I have finished this little painting – it’s 11 x 14 inches. I’m very pleased with the strong abstract pattern it makes while retaining that touch of realism when seen from a distance. And I loved working with these colours – I want to make something larger with this palette!

I love looking at the patterns the light makes on these leaves! I’m working on some of the strong darks in the background now and it’s really bringing in some nice contrast. And I love that one leaf just hanging there like a star
