Abstract Landscape – Winterlight WIP 2

Off to a good start. I had the sketch on the panel and ready to go by Saturday night so I was able to get some painting done Sunday.

This comment may not be quite on target, but have you ever thought of teaming up with a really good (would have to be good) mosaic artist??? I think your style really lends itself to that medium!! I love your work, but I guess you get that alot. Such a great fresh style, really individual without being too far out of reach. Your color sense is AMAZING!!!

I think a good name for your particular style would be “Graphic Impressionism”……………whadyathink????? :-)

Hi Della Thanks so much! My mom is a quilter and she has said the same thing (but about quilts :) ). I think the definite shapes do lend themselves to other things that are made with pieces. Stained glass too. I think it would be cool one day to try using different materials.

Graphic Impressionism – that’s actually pretty cool! I’ve never thought of what I could call my style. Although I do like using the word abstract – too bad abstract impressionism is taken! :)
