Abstract Landscape – Summer Morning

Yay for long weekends! :-)

I have finished the painting. I’m calling it Summer MorningĀ  – that’s the feeling I get from this scene. It’s a little humid, the rising sun is burning off the mist. The leaves aren’t all green – they know fall is coming.

Stay tuned for the next wip! I had such fun with this and I really liked seeing my progress over the many sessions, I think I will do it again.

YOu have a really great style. I love the flat pattern to your work while keeping a recognizable subject matter. I will be checking in.

  2. Wow Wow Wow. The whole process… The final looks great! Thanks for sharing your progress!

Thanks Art Kitten :-) I love finding the patterns all around me!

Thanks Cicada :-) I really enjoyed posting the weekly progress – it gave me a chance to look back and see the painting as it evolved which I hadn’t done before.

This turned out great! As all your other art works as well. Love your work! I’d love to see you paint the sea sometime.

So cool! Have you ever thought of printing a coloring book for kids? I’ve seen ebooks on Etsy.

Yeah it’s done!! I love it!

Thanks sanna-miina! The sea would probably be wonderful to paint – all those different blues and greens and greys :)

Thanks Alice! That’s an idea :) I had some wonderful colouring games when I was gowing up where each player had to colour a section of a klee or mondrian (I can’t remember them all) and there were rules – it was a lot of fun! It was a colouring book and a game too.

Thanks Sammo! Yeah I’m glad I’m done and I can do some other ones that I have been wanting to do, but it feels weird not to be working on it too :)
