October Heights – finished

October Heights

I loved playing with the reds, purples and oranges on this abstract landscape. I had fun pushing the warm colours back and putting the cooler greys in the tree trunk in the front. Conventionally the cooler colours recede so it was interesting to bring them forward.

I also used a new panel on this one and I just love them. Like gallery-wrap canvas but made of wood, these panels are perfect for me. I have a couple of larger ones and I can’t wait to work a little bigger :-)

I have prints and chunkies available in my etsy store.

Featured on IC Style

Today I was featured on IC Style, a very cool blog that highlights independent design and fashion. They have a section for designers and artists that emphasize Canadian in their work and of course I love to do that! :-)

So go check them out – they have lots of great stuff and it’s very nicely done.

Thanks IC Style.
